US Tennis Open TV Schedule

While both Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams - the top seeds for the men and women at the 2015 French Open - will not be in action for the tournament's first day, there's plenty to get excited for on Sunday. Men's No. 2 seed Roger Federer will be in action against Alejandro Falla. Federer is playing excellent tennis of late and is one of the favorites for the tournament.

It would be a huge deal if Federer - who has 17 grand slam titles to his name - ends up winning the whole tournament since he's only ever won once before at Roland Garros. He'll have to get through the aforementioned Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who is the tournament's sixth seed due to poor play of late. Nadal has won nine times at the French Open, however, so he's the guy to beat.

Women's No. 3 seed Simona Halep will be in action on the day, opening play on Philippe-Chatrier Court at 11 a.m. local time (5 a.m. ET) against Evgeniya Rodina. Other big names like Stan Wawrinka, Kei Nishikoria, Ana Ivanovic and Ekaterina Makarova highlight the tournament's first day. One underrated matchup that should get plenty of attention is women's No. 13 seed Lucie Safarova up against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Play gets underway at 5 a.m. ET with coverage on ESPN2. That coverage will run through 10 a.m., when it will be picked up by the Tennis Channel through 3:30 p.m. NBC will also carry coverage from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. so there are plenty of options available.
