With David Ferrer taking an early lead against Novak Djokovic on Saturday, it appeared that the era of Grand Slam dominance by the Big Three of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer was coming to an end. Mother Nature had other plans, however, delivering a storm that delayed the completion of the match until Sunday and the final until Monday, September 10.

Djokovic, who won the match against Ferrer by winning three sets after dropping the first, will play Andy Murray in the final. Murray is still pursuing his first Grand Slam victory after losing in four Slam finals, including a 2011 Australian Open loss to Djokovic.

After losing in the final of this year's Wimbledon to Federer, Murray came back to win the Olympic gold medal in singles at the Olympics, also collecting the silver medal in mixed doubles.

After his 2011 effort, one of the most dominant years in men's tennis history, Djokovic's 2012 campaign has been deemed a disappointment by some. Still, the Djoker won his third Australian Open and reached the final at the French Open while winning Masters 1000 tournaments in Toronto and Miami and losing in the finals at Monte Carlo, Rome and Cincinnati.

Djokovic and Murray will face off on Monday at 4:00 p.m. EDT at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on CBS starting at 4:00 and continuing until the match's conclusion. In addition to the trophy and bragging rights, the winner will receive a prize check of $1.9 million, while the runner up will receive $950, 000.
