School tennis shoes

BAY CITY, MI - Students at Bay City Central High School kicked off prom season in style on Saturday night, sporting everything from corsages and tiaras to tennis shoes and fancy hairdos.

Held Saturday, April 18, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 614 Center Ave. in downtown Bay City, the event drew droves of teens to mark Bay County's first prom of the year, and Bay City Times Photographer Amanda Ray was there to capture the excitement - and, at least for a little while, focus on fashion trends that made the night unique.

Prom season continues Saturday, April 25, as Pinconning Area High School hosts its prom beginning at 8 p.m. at The Grand Banquet and Conference Center, 660 W. Hampton Road in Bay County's Hampton Township.
