Princeton Park District
Created in 1946, the Princeton Park District maintains over 200 acres of parks, the Bureau County Metro Center, and the outdoor Alexander Swimming Pool.

Twelve acre Alexander Park has a new 9-hole disc golf course, skate park, six tennis courts, outdoor pool, horseshoe pits, barbecue and picnic areas, shelter, restrooms, playground and sand volleyball. West Side Ball Park provides 2 ball fields, restrooms, and concession stand. Zearing Park is a 72 acre park on the southeast corner of Princeton. You will find 3 ball fields, soccer fields, shelters, picnic and barbecue areas, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, playground, and concession stand. Zearing Park is also the site of a pond, walking path, and outdoor soccer complex. During the August 2nd 2010 meeting of the Princeton Park District Board Members held their meeting while they were taken on a bus tour of City County Park, Joe Myers Woods, Joe Myers Nature Preserve and Westside Ball Park. During the meeting and tour Park Superintendent Keith Scherer and Executive Director Elaine Russell discussed the many projects, both current and future of the Park District. Shown in this picture is Superintendent Keith Scherer discussing the electrical and utility pole repair project at Westside Ball Park. "Sitting in a room at the Metro Center and talking about our park projects is one thing; taking the board members into the parks and visiting on site, give a new dimension to our discussions and responsibilities", said Executive Director Elaine Russell.
