High School Tennis Nebraska
Two outstanding college tennis coaches will be a part of this year’s FCA Tennis Clinics July 26-30 in Lincoln, Hastings, McCook, and Scottsbluff. The clinic is open to any player entering the 9th-12th grade.
Comron Yazdgerdi is the Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Hastings College. He just finished his 6th year as head coach and was named this year’s Great Plains Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. As a player Comron was named 2nd team all conference in 2003 and 2004 and was names 1st team all conference in 2005 for the Broncos.
Jake Saulsbury is the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at the University of Nebraska – Kearney. Has has also just finished his 6th year as head coach and is now the winningest coach in the programs history on the women’s side. In Jake’s 6 years, he has lead both the men and the women to the NCAA tournament 4 times reaching the sweet 16 twice. As a player Jake won the Nebraska Class B state singles championship in high school for the Lexington Minutemen and went on to become a two time All-MIAA singles player at Northwest Missouri State.
The FCA Tennis Clinics will help players become better as they learn to compete with Jesus in mind. They will learn the fundamentals and tactics of the game along with how they can honor God as they play.
