People with Achilles pain will often suffer from tight calves. With a simple tennis ball you can do a lot of work by yourself to get the muscles and fascia in your calves in great condition. You will find in seconds or minutes that the pain starts to subside, and that is the trigger point releasing. Explore your calf and you will probably find quite a few tight spots.

Another important area to address is the bottom of your foot. Here your plantar fascia is running under your whole foot and actually attaches to the Achilles’ tendon, if you have problems in this area then it is obvious how it could affect your Achilles. Basically you need to stand on the tennis ball and run it back and forth over your plantar fascia. Your fascia connects throughout your whole body, so releasing your feet will also begin to release your calves, hamstrings and even your back. Will help a lot more than just your Achilles pain.
